Great food, not great service/atmophere
I have to preface this review by saying I LOVE everything I've ever had from Pizza Olympia. The pizza, the eggplant parmesan (MMMmm), the greek salad, you name it. DELISH. However, I've had a couple experiences where their customer service just fell short. I went for lunch once and the ONE waitress wasn't even there yet. When she did show up, she proceeded to tell us she was late to work because she was moving, etc. We were kind of stunned (and disinterested) and then she disappeared and it took an HOUR to get food. On a lunch break! (Needless to say, WE were late back to work too.) I understand they're going for a family, relaxed type restaurant but one can achieve that without slighting the customer. The waitstaff (and cooks) should still be prompt and attentive and not so laid back. Definitely get take out and enjoy the food on your own!
Exceptional Food & Service
I love this place. The food is exceptional as is the service. Everything I ate was wonderful. Not only was the server very good, but another lovely lady went from table to table, chatting and greeting every customer as though we were guests in her home. I feel truly welcome in this establishment and among their many other wonderful dishes they served the best potatoes and soup I've every eaten. It's a great environment for dinner with friends, a date, or a peaceful meal on your own.

I am pretty new to Anchorage, and Ive found it pretty find to find a local family/mom-pop italian restaurant with food that doesn't taste like it comes from a can or commercialized. Ive found it here! The food is so fresh, the delivery was fast, and its overall delicious! I'm from the east coast, so I can appreciate some good Italian and Greek cooking. This has it! Not only that, but when placing the order the person I talked to was sweet and pleasant to talk to. Less of a "WADDAYA WANT?" and more of a "What can I get for you today?". Its refreshing to see a place that takes pride in their business. Im not the one to review, but I was so excited to find this place I had to! I found a place with FLAVOR in their food! I cant wait to try their pizza! ...
