Horrible Customer Service
We've been to Gennaro's a couple of times and the food was decent. The last time we were there we waited to be seated and the hostess wasn't very friendly. She asked us where we wanted to be seated and we asked for a booth. She said all of the booths were dirty and we had to sit at a table. I asked if we could wait until a booth was cleaned that we didn't mind waiting and she left abruptly and cleaned a booth but of course with an attitude. Our waitress who apparently is the owner's wife was not friendly at all and very rude. I ordered a pasta dish, which was their pasta dish with vodka sauce, and the sauce was a chunky tomato sauce. When I asked if my dish was the correct dish she said it was. I told her that I didn't think so because it was chunky tomato sauce and not the crème vodka sauce and she said, “that's how we make our vodka sauce” and left. I'm sure she sensed I was disappointed, then came back and asked if I wanted something else but she was ...
Great catering
I ordered food for 35-40 people for a lunch function in Feb 2010. I have enjoyed Gennaro's on previous occasions. Their crust is very good. Ordered 2 pasta trays, 2 salad trays and 5 large pizzas. The food arrived hot and exactly on time. It seemed to be a big hit and was sufficient for everyone though one more salad tray would have been welcome. The delivery staff were cordial and the manager was a pleasure to work with. Total cost including tip was $215, not bad for feeding that number of people.

My family and I had been there before and we really enjoyed the pizza. But we got a delivery a few weeks ago and it took 2 hours before it got to our house. At that point, it wasn't even hot anymore so it didn't taste great. ...
