Beer Selection Good, Service Poor
We arrived on a Saturday at the start of Spring Break, place was fairly busy. There seemed to be one waitress and an older gentlemen who seemed confused and said he wasn't a waiter. Is that Eric from Eric's Ice Cream? After 10 minutes of waiting, we left. The waitress never looked at us or spoke to us and seemed to be handling one customer at a time and not very efficiently. We may give it another try. I hope they hire more people and train them in the art of multi-tasking. Come on Eric, you can't pour a beer?

1702 is a great little gem near the U of A. Arguably the best beer selection in Southern AZ, This place updates its beer selections on a regular basis. The selections range from american microbrews to tasty belgian farmhouse ales. No bud/miller/mass produced American brew here. For that go down to dirtbags, or any other bar in town. The food is not the best, but then again you don't come here for food you come for the beer selection. And really, after a few pints, an ok slice of pizza really fills the bill.The service is sometimes spotty and slow--especially if you come at night. But if you get to know the wait staff, they are very friendly and highly knowledgeable about their beer selection (with the exception of Erik the co-owner, but he admits upfront he doesn't really care for beer).
