Blows Fiorito's off the block
Although Amereno's has been on Grant for almost a year now, I didn't notice it set way back in the plaza by Country Club until recently - and I'm so glad I did, because the only other Italian place on that part of Grant (Fiorito's) is depressingly disgusting. My boyfriend and I went to Amereno's for the first time last night, and were already impressed before we walked in, because the delicious smells of the kitchen permeated outside. The inside of the restaurant is very nice - dim lights, candles, wine bottles, white tablecloths, etc. Perfect for romantic dates. Kind of like the inside of an Olive Garden or a Romano's Macaroni Grill, but without the crowds and the guilt of eating at a corporate chain. We were started off with drinks and a basket of fresh-baked bread and whatever that delicious butter they have is - it tastes like butter, garlic, and cream cheese all at once, delicious!
