Remark to Name Change
For everyones info Shakeys was a franchise, Sharkys was not ( named after a little girls softball team) then Cataldo's bought it. Cataldo's is trying to be a franchise. But when it changed to Ellis Island Pizza Company, The owners who owned it as Cataldos Pizza switched the name due to the quality issues with Cataldos. They have worked very hard at improving the place. From quality to consistancy to customer service. I dont know what Cataldos you called because as of Sept. 1 2009 the one on stockdale and real became Ellis Island Pizza Company. FAMILY OWNED and Operated. I know them because i eat here probably 3 times a week. As for waiting it happens, but for the best pizza in town I'LL WAIT. I've never had to send anything back, but it could happen ( its only natural with any restaurant). I love the service. The girls are friendly and helpful and the owner is always there to personally help you. Where else can you find that. All i can say ...

First it was Shakey's Then it was Sharkeys Then it was Cataldo's Now It's Ellis Island Pizza - the name keeps changing because the owners keep trying to land a franchise, but the franchise pulls out after quality issues. Call Cataldos and they'll tell you themselves. The food isn't bad, but it ain't great either. It depends on the time of day and who is in the kitchen. At times, the food is downright terrible and has to be sent back. The service is simply the slowest and most uncoordinated in town. If you're looking for a quick bite, you better only show up for the lunch buffet, because if you have to be waited on, you'll be sitting there for a long time. NOTE: When you order a salad (which is tasty!) tell them to drain the lettuce beforehand. You can HONESTLY pour about 2 cups of water out of each bowl served and it's disgusting.
