Great Pizza by Great People
I've been trying out the different pizza places in Berkeley, and I find myself coming here more often than not. The pizza is excellent thin crust; it's the kind you can fold into a crispy pizza sandwich. The people behind the counter are there every day, and they greet you as you step inside and immediately ask you for your order. I assume they are the owners, but I haven't asked. They are extremely efficient and very friendly, but expect to be a little flustered the first time you walk in! The topping selection is good, and they even added "arugula" around the same time Obama was getting flack for supposedly mentioning it. ...
You gotta love Pie in the Sky!
Their Pizza shows their attention to detail, each ingredient has merit. This is a thin crust "New York" style Pizza but with toppings better than any New York slice ever had. All of the sandwiches that I had were excellent, served on warm focaccia bread with a small side salad. Don't forget to try their pastries I've only had their cupcakes and it's been a while since I've indulged but all their baked goods look really good.
