Love the Pizza, hate the Owners
I absolutely love eating at Big Lou's Pizza. The Pizza is great, the atmosphere is awesome, but the owners are really really rude. If I walk in and see "Big Lou", I go straight back out the door. He's pretty rude to all the customers, doesn't participate in any community involvement, and goes out of his way to alienate UF students. I feel bad for the poor people who work for him, but LOVE the pizza.
Best pizza in G-Ville
Satchel's is great for the experience and all but the best pizza in Gainesville is without a doubt Big Lou's. The individual slices can be kind of greasy so just go for a whole pie. An XL is only 14 bucks. Try their curly fries while you're at it. It's a great combo. Gotta go, about to enjoy a delicious Big Lou's pie.
