Re the water thing
I've been a long time customer there as I live in the area - I have always been pleased with their food. They used to give out free water cups but had ongoing issues with customers using them to steal soda, so they put the no water cups policy in place. It's annoying, especially since I generally only drink water, but an understandable reaction.
Refuses to provide water
Their pizza was ok, but they refused to provide a water cup (whether paid or free). They would only sell bottled water even though there was water available from the soda fountain.
Amazing real NY Pizza!
I have never written an online review for anything before, but I just needed to with this place. I was born and raised on Long Island and spent the last 10 years in various places in FL (Tampa, Orlando, Gainesville, Tallahassee) looking for great pizza. I had been able to find good pizza, but not great pizza. What makes this place special? The crust is chewy delicious along the parts that are covered in cheese and sauce and at the top it is nice and crisp. The sauce is light and mildly sweet. The cheese is full of flavor. And if you like mushrooms, their mushrooms are amazing. I don't know what else I can say about this place. I now live in Austin, Texas and everytime I get pizza I find myself daydreaming about this place. Try it. Amazing! Also, when I was there last, I think they were doing 12 oz cups of beer for a buck, petty cool.
