Hearty, healthy home-made food from humble hippies
A "restaurant" where nothing...
If you are looking for a pretentious overpriced meal, your in luck... My girlfriend and I walk into The Original Pizza Palace for a quiet lunch (only one other table was occupied with customers). The two of us are not greeted at the door or asked to sit somewhere, so the two of us make our way to a corner table in view of the bar and kitchen. We were then greeted by a waitress who was kind and polite, who gave us menus and took our drink orders. She came back with our drinks, told us about the specials and answered our questions about the menu. We asked what the soup of the day was and were told about a chickpea peanut soup... Novel idea, but was told it would taste like thai peanut hummus, probably good over noodles, but not as a soup. So we ordered our meal, I ordered one of the scramble specials and asked for a bagel and potatoes (scrambles on the menu come with choice of bread and potato/grits), at which time the owner, sitting at the bar, turned around an scolded the ...
